I don't wanna brag, I don't wanna boast

all around the country coast to coast,
people always say what do you like most,
I don't wanna brag i don't wanna boast,
I always tell 'em I like toast.

yeah TOAST yeah TOAST

i get up in the mornin' bout six AM,
have a little jelly have a little jam,
take a piece of bread put it in the slot,
push down the lever and the wires gets hot,
i get toast.

yeah TOAST yeah TOAST

now there's no secret to toasting perfection,
there's a dial on the side and you make your selection,
push to the dark or the light and then,
if it pops too soon press down again,
make toast.

yeah TOAST yeah TOAST

when the first caveman drove in from the drags,
didn't know what would go with the bacon and the eggs,
must have been a genius got it in his head,
plug the toaster in the wall,
buy a bag of bread,
make toast.

yeah TOAST yeah TOAST

oui monsieur bonjour coquette,
uh huh croissante vous a ver,
maurice chevalier effeil tower,
oh oui maria bagette bon soir,

yeah FRENCH TOAST

not much happening

"Time goes, you say? Ah no! Alas, Time stays, we go."   ~Henry Austin Dobson

What a geat quote!  It's already February 9th, 2010.  The renovations to my space were supposed to be done already.  Big sigh.  The pipe had to be boxed in, the window has to be framed in and the doors need knobs and need to have moldings.  I think I'll leave the floor as is.  Maybe.  Too many things seem to be taking up my time and energy, rather than completing this project.

I even went to a client's without business cards today - how foolish is that?  It looks like a place I would like to work at.  And I'm feeling hopeful they like what I've done for them so I can continue to work for them.  I got the feeling that the boss wasn't impressed by the glitch in communications regarding one aspect.  I think she wanted to deliver more to her client than what I provided.  I'm concerned that something I've done has jeopardized my chances with them, and I don't know what it is.

I suppose, when all is said and done, that I'll find out sometime soon if we're continuing on.  No real need to fret about it, is there?

Next.
